Candice J McNeil MD MPH FAAP, FACP, FIDSA is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section on Infectious diseases at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM). She is a Consultant Medical Director for Forsyth County Department of Public Health in Winston Salem NC and Co-Medical Director for the Southeast STD/HIV Prevention Training Center. Principal investigator for the CDC funded Combatting Antimicrobial Resistant Gonorrhea and Other STIs (CARGOS) North Carolina site and the WFUSM STI Clinical Trials Unit, she is a subject matter expert for the CDC STI Prevention Guidelines. Dr. McNeil’s practice and research is public health focused with an emphasis on STI education, disease management, and prevention.
