Farrell Tobolowsky, DO, MS is a medical epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is an adult infectious diseases-trained physician. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Texas at Houston and infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Colorado. She joined CDC in 2019 as an epidemic intelligence service officer in the Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases. While at the CDC, she has focused on surveillance strengthening, outbreak investigation and response, and performed special projects related to enteric pathogens (Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter), botulism, poliovirus, mpox, and diphtheria. Research interests include: immunizations, respiratory viruses, neurologic infections, arboviruses, enteric diseases, and domestic and international public health.
