April Pettit, M.D., M.P.H., is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She has provided primary HIV care at the Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic (VCCC), a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCHM) for people living with HIV (PWH) in middle Tennessee and the surrounding areas since 2007. Dr. Pettit also leads a National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded research program utilizing implementation science to identify optimal strategies for the improved uptake of evidence-based interventions to enhance HIV status-neutral continuum of care outcomes. She serves as co-principal investigator of the Tennessee Center for AIDS Research (TN-CFAR) Implementation Science Hub and Director of the TN-CFAR Clinical Sciences Core. She also has national HIV leadership roles as the Vanderbilt site principal investigator for the CFAR Network of Integrated Clinical Systems (CNICS) and as a member of the Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents Committee.
