Dr. Latania Logan is a Professor of Pediatrics, Associate Division Chief, and Marcus Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Emory University School of Medicine and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Logan’s research focuses on the clinical and molecular epidemiology of infections in children and healthy populations due to multi-drug resistant Gram-negative bacteria, and this work is currently supported by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Dr. Logan is a member of the NIH-funded Antibacterial Resistance Leadership Group (ARLG), serving on both the Gram-Negative and Pediatric Committees. In 2023, she was selected as a member of the National Academy of Medicine Emerging Leaders Forum. She is a member of the CDC Epicenters Consortium and the Chicago Prevention and Intervention Epicenter (C-PIE), as well as the American Board of Pediatrics Pediatric Infectious Diseases Subboard. She recently served on the SHEA Board of Trustees, the SHEA Pediatric Leadership Council Steering Committee, and the Infectious Diseases Society of America Antimicrobial Resistance Committee.
