Jeffrey F. Barletta is a Professor (with tenure) and Vice Chair of Pharmacy Practice at Midwestern University, College of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona. Prior to joining MWU, Dr. Barletta was a clinical specialist in surgical critical care at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI and Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, MI. He has 25 years of experience in the field of critical care medicine. Dr. Barletta is a current member of Council for the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), a past-Chair for the SCCM Section of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology and a past editor of Critical Connections, the critical care newsmagazine published by SCCM. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Barletta has also served as a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Critical Care Specialty Board and was an inaugural member of the Executive Committee for the Critical Care Pharmacotherapy Trials Network. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed manuscripts and textbook chapters related to clinical outcomes with drug therapy in the critically ill or injured patient.
