Catherine “Cathy” Cichon, MD, MPH is an infectious diseases physician currently working in Colorado Springs, CO, in partnership with the University of Colorado and CommonSpirit Health. A graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Cichon subsequently completed her residency at the University of California San Diego and is board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics. She recently completed her ID fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her research interests include infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship particularly in long-term care facilities, diagnostic stewardship of next-generation sequencing tests, and novel approaches to medication education. She served as the Fellow Delegate for the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology Education Committee from 2023-24.
