Dr. Stefan Gravenstein is the David S. Greer Professor of Geriatrics at Brown University. He has served as director or chief of geriatrics and palliative medicine in three academic institutions, and now leads that Division at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Gravenstein’s long-standing interest has been in immunity, inflammation, cardiovascular outcomes and aging especially in the context of infection. He has typically researched these through the lens of vaccines, antibiotic stewardship and quality improvement, especially in the long-term care setting, and are a topic of the majority of his publications
