Yasha Joseph is a current senior at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is studying Anthropology and Human Biology (BS) along with Sociology (BA) on the premedical track and plans to apply to medical school soon after college. In summer of 2023, she was part of the inaugural cohort of the INSPIRE program, an undergraduate research program for pre-MD and pre-PhD students interested in infectious disease. From this experience, she had the opportunity to present both nationally and regionally at conferences under the mentorship of Dr. Zanthia Wiley, MD.
