Dr. Gantt is a Pediatric Infectious Diseases specialist and the Director of Clinical Research at the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre in Montreal, and Full Professor in the Departments Pediatrics and of Microbiology, Infectious Diseases & Immunology at the University of Montreal. He obtained an Sc.B. with Honors in Evolutionary Biology at Brown University. He then received an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Immunology through the Medical Scientist Training Program at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Gantt then completed a residency in Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases Fellowship, and an MPH in Epidemiology at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Prior to moving to Montreal, Dr. Gantt was the Head of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of British Columbia and Director of Clinical Research at BC Children’s Hospital. Dr. Gantt’s current research focuses on the prevention of disease due to congenital cytomegalovirus infection through newborn CMV screening and CMV vaccine development.
