Kathryn Como-Sabetti, is the epidemiology manager of the Emerging Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Response Section at the Minnesota Department of Health. Ms. Como-Sabetti received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University and a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. As an epidemiologist for more than 25 years she has worked on vaccine-preventable and viral respiratory disease surveillance, community-associated methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, improving infectious disease surveillance systems, and invasive bacterial infections including streptococcus infections. Ms. Como-Sabetti has also worked as a hospital epidemiologist for Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. She currently oversees COVID-19, RSV, and invasive bacterial disease epidemiology activities at the Minnesota Department of Health.
