Dr. Sonya Krishnan is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University. Along with Dr. Eric Nuermberger, she is the co-Principal Investigator of an open-label, phase III, randomized clinical trial evaluating a short course regimen of bedaquiline as TB preventive therapy in people living with HIV and close contacts of drug-susceptible and rifampin-resistant tuberculosis (BREACH-TB). Her research also focuses on better understanding adverse treatment outcomes in people living with HIV and those with tuberculosis, both globally and locally.
