Alison C. Tribble, MD, MSCE, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and the University of Michigan. She is also the medical director of the Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Mott. Dr. Tribble received her bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from Duke University. She trained in pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Following residency, she worked as a pediatric hospitalist and then served as Pediatric Chief Resident at Johns Hopkins. She completed fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and obtained a master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania, after which she joined the faculty at the University of Michigan in 2015.

In addition to leading Mott’s pediatric ASP, Dr. Tribble conducts research to understand patterns of antimicrobial use in children and to evaluate strategies to optimize this use. Dr. Tribble also participates in and leads multicenter research on pediatric antibiotic use through national collaborations such as the SHARPS (SHaring Antimicrobial Reports for Pediatric Stewardship) collaborative. She currently serves as the chair of the Pediatric Committee on Antimicrobial Stewardship, a committee of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society.
