Florence Momplaisir is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases (ID), Vice Chief for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in ID, and Senior Fellow of the Penn Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. Her clinical research focuses on improving postpartum retention and viral suppression of women with HIV and on decreasing racial disparities in HIV prevalence among U.S. populations. In particular, she focuses on using peer-led and organizational-led behavioral interventions to improve HIV care continuum outcomes of people with HIV. Her expertise lies in using mixed-method, community-based and implementation research in her work. She serves as Director of the Penn Center For AIDS Research (CFAR) Implementation Science Core. In that role, she leads technical assistance and consultative services to CFAR investigators with an emphasis on implementation designs, frameworks, strategies, measures, outcomes, community engaged approaches, and mechanisms of change.
