Dr. Aadia Rana is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and a Senior Scientist with the UAB Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) where she serves as Director of the Implementation and Community Sciences Core. She received her medical degree from UAB, completed a residency at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, and a fellowship in infectious diseases and HIV health services research from Brown University in Rhode Island. Dr. Rana's extensive research program includes evaluating disparities in access and adherence to medical treatment among people living with HIV, clinical trials of novel antiretrovirals, and implementation of biomedical and behavioral interventions to improve engagement with HIV care.
