I am a Pediatric Resident in the First Department of Pediatrics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at "Agia Sophia" Children's Hospital in Athens, Greece. I am currently in my final weeks of training and preparing to take the Pediatrics Board exam this fall. I have completed my MSc, on Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and my PhD, on the establishment of antigen-specific B cell memory after different infant immunization schedules with PCV13, at the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Through my clinical and academic experience and I have developed a strong interest in infectious diseases and immunology and will be applying for a Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship while continuing as a Researcher at the Immunobiology and Vaccinology Research Lab of the First Department of Pediatrics. My goal is to work in the interface of infectious diseases and immunology, caring for children with immunodeficiencies or in a immunocompromised state, especially post-HSCT, and studying the immune responses to infections and vaccinations in this populations.
