Dr. Michelle Collins-Ogle is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and the Medical Director of the Montefiore Adolescent and Youth Sexual-health (MAYS) Clinic in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Ogle has committed the majority of her career to providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, adolescents and adults with HIV / AIDS. She provides comprehensive gender affirming care for transgender pediatric and adolescents with HIV as well as youth at risk, and has national recognition for implementation of Prevention and Treatment for HIV in vulnerable adolescent populations, primarily young gay men and transgender youth of color. Prior to relocating to New York, Dr. Collins-Ogle was the Medical Director for the Warren-Vance Community Health Center located in rural North Carolina. The clinic is funded through HRSA’s Ryan White Services program dedicated to providing care for people living with HIV as well as those at risk.
Dr. Collins-Ogle served as the Pediatric liaison for the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society and the HIV Medicine Association, Co-Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Ryan White Medical Provider’s Coalition which advocates and lobbies legislators on the state and federal level to protect funding for HIV/AIDS medical care programs. She also proudly served as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS during the Obama Administration and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Academy of HIV Medicine and works on the Public Policy Committee which focuses on addressing healthcare disparities at the policy level.
