Mitchell has a Bachelors in Biology from the University of South Florida and a Master’s in Public Health from Texas A&M University where he graduated with the Departmental Achievement Award as well as the Texas Public Health Scholars Award. Mitchell has been working in New York City to end the HIV Epidemic for nearly a decade, managing programs across the HIV care continuum. Mitchell is currently the Network HIV Director for the Family Health Centers at NYU Langone leading a grant portfolio comprising of Ryan White, CDC, SAMHSA, city, state, and private funding. Mitchell sits on the NYC HIV Planning Council and is a part of several other groups advocating for care and services.
