Danielle Gilbert, DO, MPH is a second year Infectious Diseases Fellow at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Originally from Chicago area, she attended University of Illinois at Chicago for undergraduate studies, acheiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During this time, she worked at a Ryan White Clinic in Chicago and solidified her passion for Infectious Diseases. She attended medical school and completed a dual degree DO/MPH at Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa, graduating in 2020. Following medical school she completed residency in Internal Medicine at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She is currently finishing up her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at LSU in New Orleans. She is passionate about HIV primary care, healthcare disparities, and general infectious diseases inpatient consults.
