Ashley L. Drews, MD, FACP is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine with the Houston Methodist Academic Institute and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is the Clinical Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases of the Department of Medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital and the System Epidemiologist for Houston Methodist. Dr. Drews earned her medical degree Summa Cum Laude from Baylor College of Medicine and then completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She returned to Baylor College of Medicine for fellowship in Adult Infectious Diseases. Dr. Drews is highly committed to the prevention of infection and disease. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she took an active role in the education of the entire Houston Methodist system and community and participated in many livestream Town Hall chats as an expert and panelist.
