Archana Asundi, MD is Assistant Professor of Medicine in Section of Infectious Disease at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Asundi is co-director of the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Unit at Boston Medical Center. Her primary research focus is on HIV and aging with a specific interest in weight gain and metabolic outcomes in persons living with HIV. She is also co-investigator on several HIV translational research studies centered around HIV, aging and other comorbidities such as smoking and opioid use. She also is a co-investigator on study involving novel rapid bacterial diagnostic methods, in collaboration with DayZero Diagnostics.
