Dr Michelle Yong (MBBS FRACP MPH PhD) is an Infectious Diseases Physician and Post-doctoral researcher at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the National Centre for Infections in Cancer (NCIC), University of Melbourne, Australia. Her research is focused on CMV viral immunity in transplantation and she has published widely in the area of infections in immune-compromised hosts. She is an active investigator in clinical trials, holds several competitive Australian grants and fellowships and is on Australian and international guideline writing panels for infections in immune-compromised hosts. She has a special research interest in understanding CMV-related transplant outcomes and cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific immunity in vulnerable patients.
