Dr. Michael David, MD, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at the Unviersity of Pennsylvania. He has focused his research for more than a 20 years on the epidemiology and outcomes of Staphylococcus aureus infections and serves as the Director of the Skin Infection Clinic of the Division of Infectious Diseases. His current projects include studies on the genomic determinants of S. aureus colonization, infection, and recurrence; the global molecular epidemiolgy of S. aureus; invasive Candida infections; and infection prevention for multdrug resistant pathogens in the healthcare setting.
