Jamila Silemonshoeva is an epidemiologist at the Sughd Regional Center of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision in Tajikistan. She graduated from the Tajik State Medical University in 2012. Upon graduations she taught at a the medical college. Then in 2017, she began working in field epidemiology in 2017 at the district level in Sughd. In 2019, she began work at the regional level. She has led several disease investigations including on rabies, acute hepatitis A and B, tuberculosis, sepsis, SARS CoV-2, anthrax and food poisonings. During the pandemic, she supported with implementation of COVID-19 mitigation strategies in the Sughd region, Republic of Tajikistan. She is a 2-year Central Asia Advanced Field Epidemiology Training Program resident. As part of her FETP training, she conducted a surveillance evaluation of the COVID-19 surveillance system in Khujand, Tajikistan. She also led a botulism outbreak investigation and an investigation of a cluster of dog bites.
