Tsung-Chi Lien, M.S., Pharm.D., BCPS, BCPPS is a neonatal and pediatric clinical pharmacist at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) in Fresno, California. Dr. Lien received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan. He earned his Master of Science degree in Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa in 2004 and 2008. He completed a Pharmacy Residency with a focus in critical care at CRMC.
For over 15 years, Dr. Lien has been involved in the implementation and enhancement of various clinical activities, including medication therapy management for neonatal and pediatric patients in intensive care units. He has developed and optimized neonatal and pediatric order sets, policies, and clinical pathways, updated neonatal and pediatric smart pump libraries, and provided in-service training to other healthcare professionals. Additionally, Dr. Lien actively participates in multiple research projects and poster presentations.
Dr. Lien serves as a preceptor for PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy students from University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy and University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He also mentors local high school students in the Doctor’s Academy Program. Dr. Lien has been recognized with several awards, including the Apple for Excellence in Teaching Award from University of California San Francisco (UCSF) - Fresno Pharmacy site in 2014 and 2023, and the UCSF Excellence in Inter-Professional Teaching Award from UCSF Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators in 2023.
