Associate Professor Nuntra Suwantarat, MD, D(ABMM), MSc(HSE) received her M.D. from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, HI. Following a clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Case Western Reserve University Program in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Suwantarat did a second fellowship in Medical Microbiology at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, under the supervision of Karen C. Carroll. Upon completion of her fellowship training, Dr. Suwantarat joined the faculty at Chulabhorn International College of Medicine (CICM), Thammasat University, Thailand. She is currently a lecturer, Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Consultant at Thammasat University Hospital. Dr. Suwantarat’s focused area of research is in antimicrobial-resistant bacteria and clinical microbiology in resource-limited settings. In addition, she has been involved in medical education and previously served as the Vice Dean for Medical Education at CICM. She is currently a secretary of the Academic Subcommittee and a member of Fellowship Training and Educational Subcommittee, of Infectious Disease Infectious Disease Association of Thailand (IDAT).
