Melissa Day, MD, is a third-year pediatric infectious diseases fellow at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate training at Duke University, then attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After pursuing her pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children's, she stayed at the institution to complete her fellowship in infectious diseases. She is the recipient of the PIDS 2023 Stanley and Susan Plotkin and Sanofi Pasteur Fellowship Award, as well as the 2024 Young Investigator Diversity Research Award at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Her research focuses on unraveling and addressing health disparities within infectious diseases, including examining caregiver psychosocial factors and their impact on antibiotic prescribing.
