I, Mohammed Badrul Amin, PhD, have been working as an Associate Scientist in icddr,b. I am writing to express my profound commitment to advancing research in the fields of food safety, infectious disease, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). With a career spanning over a decade, I embarked on my research journey in 2009 with an unwavering passion for understanding and combating public health challenges. The pressing global issue of AMR has been a cornerstone of my work, and I have strived to contribute valuable insights to address this critical concern. My research endeavors extend to the realm of transmission dynamics of microbial infections, AMR and pathogenesis in both community and hospital settings. As a Principal Investigator, I have successfully led and executed numerous research projects with the collaboration of US Universities and funding support from NIH, SIDA, and USAID, which demonstrates my ability to conceptualize, plan, and implement studies that yield meaningful results. My goal is to continue conducting rigorous and innovative research that not only expands the scientific knowledge but also translates into actionable strategies to improve health outcomes at local and global levels. Therefore, I invite colleagues from diverse disciplines, including microbiology, public health, epidemiology, and food science, to join forces in addressing critical global health challenges.
