Personal Statement
Sung-Yeon Cho is an assistant professor of Division of Infectious Diseases, College of medicine, the Catholic University of Korea in Seoul, Korea. She has majored in the field of infectious diseases since 2012, and focus on infectious complications in hematologic patients. She is also a member of Transplantation & Consultation Center, Catholic Hematology Hospital, Seoul, Korea.
Her medical specialty and research interests include the diagnosis and management of infectious complications in patients with hematological malignancy, invasive fungal infections, post-transplantation infectious complications such as cytomegalovirus and BK-PyV, and prevention of infectious diseases such as antibacterial/antiviral/antifungal prophylaxis and post-transplantation vaccination. Her research works have been published in various scientific journals. She is also actively involved in clinical trials of management and prevention of invasive fungal and viral infections.
