Dr. Nisha Thampi is the medical director of the Infection Prevention and Control Program at CHEO, a pediatric health and research centre in Ottawa, and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa, Canada. She completed her pediatrics residency and subspecialty training in infectious diseases at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and has a Master’s of Science degree in Public Health, with a focus on Health Economics, from The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She was Clinical Research Fellow with the Mount Sinai Hospital-University Health Network Antimicrobial Stewardship Program in Toronto prior to joining CHEO in 2013.
