Olivia Man, MD, MPH, is an Internal Medicine resident at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Her research has been featured by Scientific American, Salon Magazine, and NBC News, and it focuses on the intersection of public health, environmental health & transmission dynamics, and vector-borne diseases. She is currently studying factors leading to variations in vaccination rates under her mentors Dr. Douglas Challener and Dr. John O'Horo. She attended medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she and her mentor, Dr. Karin Nielsen, identified high rates of neonatal respiratory distress following in-utero exposure to SARS-CoV-2 in unvaccinated women. During her MPH in epidemology at the University of Michigan, Olivia studied transmission dynamics of vector-borne and waterborne diseases under Dr. Joseph Eisenberg. She intends on pursuing a fellowship in Infectious Disease.
