Dr. Garrigos is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she holds the position of co-director of the transplant infectious diseases program. With a background in Infectious Diseases and Transplant infectious diseases, she completed her training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. During her time at Mayo Clinic, Dr. Garrigos garnered recognition for her research efforts in the field of biofilm infections, particularly focusing on cardiovascular and spinal cord stimulator infections, which led to her receiving the outstanding infectious diseases research award.
