Dr. Sarah Mulkey is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC and a prenatal-neonatal neurologist at the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. She is also the Co-Director of the Congenital Infection Program and the Director of the Fetal-Neonatal Neurology Fellowship at Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Mulkey’s research focuses on congenital infections and the impact on the developing brain, fetal and neonatal brain injury, and autonomic nervous system development. She has international expertise in congenital Zika virus and collaborates with a research team in Colombia, the US Centers for Disease Control, and the World Health Organization Zika IPD-MA to understand outcomes of children affected by in utero Zika virus exposure.
