Thien-Ly Doan is a clinical pharmacist specializing in infectious diseases. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Long Island University in Brooklyn. She completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at the Manhattan campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) New York Harbor Healthcare System, followed by an ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Specialty Residency at the James J. Peters VA Hospital in the Bronx. Since graduation from residency, she has been at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJMC) combating bugs and antimicrobial resistance. She is the PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency Program Director at LIJMC. She works very closely with the adult infectious disease team and rounds daily with the team. Her primary responsibility is to oversee the antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) at LIJMC. In addition, she co-chairs the Northwell Enterprise ASP Committee.
