Dr. William Towner, MD, FACP, FIDSA is the director of HIV medical care for Kaiser Permanente Southern California, which provides comprehensive medical care for nearly 11,000 patients infected with HIV. He has been Principal Investigator for over 100 HIV and infectious disease clinical trials with over 70 publications in peer reviewed journals as well as multiple successful research grants. He has been awarded fellowship from the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Disease Society of America and is also a past board member of the HIV Medical Association of the IDSA. In addition to his HIV responsibilities, Dr. Towner also serves as physician director of clinical trials research for Kaiser Permanente Southern California.
