Monica Abdelnour, MD, FAAP, Fellow in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Abdelnour practices Pediatric Infectious Diseases at St. Louis Children's Hospital (SLCH).
She is originally from Canada where she completed a Major in Genetics at the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She then earned her medical degree from the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland and completed her pediatric residency training in Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She is currently a third-year fellow in the program and has a passion for antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship and how it can improve patient care for a variety of infectious diseases.
Dr. Abdelnour plans to begin the next chapter of her career as an assistant professor at the University of Arizona School of Medicine and practicing Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
