Dr. Nabin Shrestha joined the Infectious Diseases Department at Cleveland Clinic in 2004. He sees patients in the infectious disease consultation services at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. His particular area of interest is cardiovascular infections, and he has worked closely with the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery departments for two decades to improve care for patients with these infections. He has been serving as the medical director of Cleveland Clinic’s Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) program since 2007. He has expertise in data science and actively conducts research in the domains of cardiovascular infections, OPAT, and rapid diagnostic technology. He has been an active volunteer in various capacities for the Infectious Diseases Society of America for most of his career, and currently serves as Chair of the Standards and Practice Guidelines Subcommittee.
