Dr. Glenn J. Rapsinski MD, PhD is a clinical and research instructor in the division of Pediatric Infectious Disease at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on chronic infections with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and antimicrobial resistance. His particular focus is on ventilator-associated infections and the way P. aeruginosa adapts to the airway of patients with endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes in order to colonize the airway, and the consequences of those adaptations to virulence potential.
