Dr. Fabián Herrera is a Staff member in the Infectious Diseases Unit, Internal Medicine Department of the Center for Medical Education and Clinical Research (CEMIC). He is also an Associate Professor of Infectious Diseases and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology at the CEMIC University Institute.
He was a commission member of infections in immunocompromised patients of the Infectious Diseases Society of Argentina.
He is the author and co-author of numerous papers published in indexed journals and presented at national and international congresses.
He has developed his clinical, research, and teaching activities focusing on infections caused by multidrug-resistant microorganisms and bacterial, fungal, and viral infections in patients with cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplants.
Since 2014, he has been the Principal Investigator and Director of the ROCAS Registry (Registry of Bacteremia by Multidrug-resistant Organisms in Patients with Cancer and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation), the first multicenter registry in Argentina on this topic.
