Dr El Boghdadly obtained her medical degree from Alexandria University, Egypt in 2008. She completed her fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center in 2016. She then joined the infectious diseases faculty at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Her clinical and scholarly activities are focused on managing infections in cancer and transplant/cellular therapy recipients. Dr El Boghdadly is the faculty representative for the hematologic transplant program and the antibiotic stewardship program for The James Cancer Hospital. She also co-directs the immunocompromised host infectious diseases track of the infectious diseases fellowship program. She is an active member of national societies including National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines panel for prevention and treatment of cancer-related infections and steering committee of the Transplant Infectious Diseases Special Interest Group for The American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT).
