Becky Reece, MD, FACP is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at West Virginia University School of Medicine. She currently serves as Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs for the Department of Medicine, Associate Director of the Global Health Program, and co-Director of the Community Engagement & Outreach Core for WVCTSI. She was Program Director for the WVU ID Fellowship until this year. She completed her ID fellowship and a T32 research fellowship (HIV and other Infectious Related to Substance Use) at Brown University. At WVU she served as Principle Investigator and/or Co-Investigator on five different COVID-19 clinical treatment trials both industry sponsored and NIH sponsored as well as co-investigator on NIH Long COVID RECOVER trial. Currently, she is PI on NIH-funded multi-site CHOICE STAR study identifying interventions to improve outcomes among PWID admitted with severe infections and co-I on the HPTN 103/Purpose 4 Study: Lencapravir in PWID for PrEP.
