Claire Ashmead-Meers is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Michigan Medical School. Her research on the efficacy of anti-fungal prophylaxis strategies was funded by an NIH Short-Term Research Grant. Interests include Transplant ID, the use of artificial intelligence tools in medicine and research, and global health. At Michigan she directs the Galens Smoker (annual student-written musical-comedy), is a Fellow in the Health, Spirituality, and Religion Program, and runs the Michigan-PKU-SYS Health Initiative bringing together medical students from Michigan, Beijing, and Guangzhou for student exchanges.
