Hi, I'm Jon Salmanton-GarcĂa, a postdoctoral researcher and project manager at the University Hospital Cologne, Germany. My research career started as a PhD candidate and project manager at the same hospital, where I was also a data analyst. I obtained my PhD in Health Sciences at the University of Cologne with a thesis on the clinical management of rare invasive fungal infections. Currently my research is focused on three aspects: acute respiratory infections in haematological virus patients (EPICOVIDEHA registry, https://ehaweb.org/covid-19/epicovideha-survey/), mapping diagnostic and treatment capacity in invasive fungal infections in different regions of the world (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/myncbi/jon.salmanton-garcia.2/collections/62575752/public/), and facilitating vaccine development by managing a unique European volunteer registry (https://lts.impfstudien-corona.de/). In all projects we are looking for new collaborators, so do not hesitate to contact me by Twitter (@salmantongarcia) or email (jon.salmanton-garcia@uk-koeln.de)!
