Dr Anuj Ajayababu, M.D Medicine, is currently a D.M. Infectious Diseases fellow at the Department of Medicine and Microbiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He has completed his M.B.B.S and M.D. Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, which is the apex tertiary care institute in India.
He is an early career researcher, with interests ranging from infectious diseases in high-burden countries, in particular respiratory infections including tuberculosis, non-tubercular mycobacterial infections and invasive fungal infections including invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. With the highest global burden of tuberculosis, India is home to the largest number of tuberculosis patients and by extension patients with post tubercular lung diseases. His early research publications have been on protective efficacy of BCG vaccinations in other infections including COVID-19, utility of fungal biomarkers for diagnosis of IPA, burden of post tubercular lung disease and development of various forms of Aspergillus related diseases in PTLD including ABPA and CPA.
