I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1993 and went on to medical school at Temple University from 1993-1997. I then completed my internal medicine training at the University of Michigan from 1997-2002. I was a fellow at the University of Washington from 2000-2003. There, my research was in the area of CMV under the mentorship of Adam Geballe at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, where I was a junior faculty member until 2009. In 2009 I took a faculty position at OHSU, where I am now the Interim ID Division Head and the Department of Medicine Vice Chair for Clinical Programs. My clinical focus since starting my fellowship has been infections in HCT recipients.
