Dr Suilanji Sivile is a medical doctor with a Masters in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases from the University of Zambia, and Master of Health Sciences in Health Systems Innovations majoring in dissemination and implementation research from the University of Maryland Baltimore. He is the head of the infectious Diseases Unit at the University Teaching Hospital Lusaka Zambia and is a part time lecturer at the Infectious Diseases division of the University of Zambia (UNZA) School of Medicine. He leads the case management cluster for incident management system for infectious disease outbreaks under the Zambia national public health institute and is the National HIV Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Health. He is certified in threats and Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA) course. He has participated and lead in different outbreak preparedness and response including Ebola, Meningococcal, COVID-19, cholera, anthrax, Mpox to mention a few. Dr Suilanji Sivile has over 13 years’ experience in program design, implementation, and treatment of individuals with advanced HIV disease. His research interest are in HIV disease outcomes and HIVcoinfections. He has been a PI for several research project including clinical trials and surveys.
