Masaaki Nakashima, a scientist at SHIONOGI & CO., LTD. I hold a PhD degree, which I obtained from the Graduate School of Nagoya University. My specialization during my doctoral studies was in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology. In terms of my professional experience, since 2016, I have been working at SHIONOGI & CO., LTD., specifically for drug discovery research for infectious diseases. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work as a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Virus Research, University of Glasgow, in the United Kingdom, from 2020 to 2021.
