Monica Fung, MD, MPH is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She is Clinical Director of the Transplant & Immunocompromised Host ID Program and Director of ID Inpatient Services. Monica Fung specializes in infectious diseases with a focus on patients with compromised immune systems, including those with solid organ or stem cell transplants. Her research focuses on the application of novel diagnostics to improve diagnosis of infections among transplant recipients. She directs the Transplant/Immunocompromised Host track within the UCSF Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, and serves as a small group leader for the Pathogen Host Defense course in the School of Medicine.
