As an Infectious Disease Specialist in Northern Nerw Jersey, I have a strong interest in improving the infectious disease care in Long Term and Post Acute Care. These sites were particularly affected by the pandemic and enhancing their infection prevention standards as well as containing various multidrug-resistant organisms that find their way into these facilities is paramount. Stewardship has been a particular focus of mine as nursing home facilities do not have good oversight or education on appropriate antibiotic utilization.
