Laasya Doppalapudi is a third-year undergraduate student research assistant at the Warren Lab in the department of Infectious Diseases & International Health at the University of Virginia. She is majoring in Biology and Global Public Health with a minor in Spanish on the pre-medical track. Her research in the Warren Lab focuses on C. difficile infection (CDI), biomarker relationships, severity, recurrence, and clinical factors surrounding infection. Laasya's other research interests include gut microbiota interactions during CDI and public health research on social determinants of health. Outside of the Warren Lab, she works as a scribe in the University of Virginia Hospital Emergency Department and is involved in UVA’s chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity and Remote Area Medical.
