Frances V. Ue, MD, MPH

Dr. Frances Ue is an experienced clinician educator with a background in public health and advocacy. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University in Canada, Master’s of Public Health from Columbia University in New York, and Doctorate of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Her passion for working with diverse, underserved communities and advancing social justice, culminated in a career as an Internal Medicine attending physician and teaching faculty at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). She completed Internal Medicine training at CHA, and also served as Chief Resident. She was the Director for both the Medicine Sub Internship and Inpatient Medicine clerkship for Harvard Medical School (HMS) students and the Associate Director for Physical Diagnosis and Reasoning in the HMS Practice of Medicine course for preclinical medical and dental students. She is currently pursuing a fellowship in infectious diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Dr. Ue has been featured in the Diagnosis column in the NYTimes magazine, and her writing can be found in STAT Opinion and the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) Journal Watch. She is an avid contributor to the Febrile and NEJM Clinical conversations podcasts. She was honored with the 2022 CHA Rising Star Award for her commitment to patients and their communities.
